A facelift is often the most effective means of improving the appearance of sagging skin on the neck and face. During facelift procedures performed in Westchester County, NY, at our private plastic surgery facility, incisions are placed discreetly in your hairline and follow the natural contours of your ears. Incision lines are designed to be easily concealed by your hair, makeup, and the natural folds of the skin.

What’s New

At Cosmetic Surgery Associates of New York, a mini facelift may be a good choice for some of our younger clients and can effectively reduce or eliminate early signs of aging while restoring the taut and toned curvature of the neck and jaw. A facelift can also be combined with BOTOX® Cosmetic as well as injectable fillers to provide a more comprehensive rejuvenation. For male patients, a minimal-incision neck lift is a great solution to a sagging, heavy neck.

The CSANY Difference

A facelift procedure offers the pinnacle in facial rejuvenation and is one of the most sought-after facial plastic surgery procedures we perform. At Cosmetic Surgery Associates of New York, we pride ourselves in creating dramatic results while maintaining a completely natural look for our patients. For optimal and lasting results, our surgeons focus on tightening the deeper layers of facial tissue and muscle.

Procedure Overview

Our facelift specialists utilize the latest facial plastic surgery techniques to lift and reposition the deep layers of tissue as well as the overlying skin. By tightening and toning more than just the superficial facial tissues, our surgeons are able to restore youth to the face while creating an elegant, streamlined neck and jawline that erases years from the overall appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should consider a facelift?

There is no specific age when a person should start to consider this procedure; however, most of our facelift patients are in their 40s to 70s. Candidacy is largely dependent on the individual and how much loose or sagging skin is present. Those who experience sagging in the face and neck area wish to refresh their appearance may benefit from the procedure. It is important that candidates have realistic expectations of what a facelift can and cannot achieve.

What is recovery like?

While recovery differs for individuals, in general, we tell our patients that regular activities and work can be resumed 1 to 2 weeks following surgery. Working out and strenuous activity is generally allowed after about 2 to 3 weeks, depending on how extensive of a lift you’ve received.

How long will the results last?

Because the face always continues to age, the results of a facelift will not last forever. Oftentimes, the results of a facelift procedure can last upwards of 10 years. Typically, patients continue to look better than their pre-operative appearance.
