Preparation

Before your first laser hair removal session, do not wax or pluck the hairs for about a month and a half. Since the laser will target the roots of your hairs, those roots need to still be present for the procedure to work. (That means shaving is okay, as it will not remove the follicles’ roots.) It is also advisable to avoid the sun as much as possible during the same time frame, as sun exposure can make the treatment less successful.

Laser Hair Removal Procedure

Arrive to your appointment completely shaved. The aesthetician will then meticulously use pulsing light on the unwanted hairs to make sure all follicles are treated.

For optimal results, you will need to repeat this process with several laser hair treatment appointments.

Recovery and Results

Over the coming weeks, you will notice the laser-treated hair fall out. The results of laser hair removal last indefinitely, though many patients will choose to have some touch-ups done in the years ahead to maintain the results.
