Browlift in Westchester County

Also serving Harrison, Valhalla, & Carmel Hamlet

The forehead is often one of the first areas on the body to show signs of aging and may begin to do so as early as in your 30’s. At our practice in Westchester, New York, a brow lift can help correct or improve skin wrinkling. A brow lift can reverse sagging in the eyebrows, which often occurs as part of the aging process, and can help to smooth horizontal expression lines in your forehead as well as vertical frown lines between your eyebrows.

What’s New

Many of our New York patients are candidates concerned about having a full brow lift and having a “surprised” look after surgery. For appropriately selected patients, only elevation of the outer or lateral brow may be desired. For these patients, the surgeons at Cosmetic Surgery Associates offer a minimal-incision lateral browlift. As an isolated procedure, it can be performed under local anesthesia. The lateral browlift produces a subtle elevation in the lateral/outer brow area. Often times, the lateral brow lift is combined with upper eyelid surgery resulting in a dramatic refreshing and rejuvenation of this area.

The minimally invasive brow lift utilizes an endoscope, one of the most important developments in modern cosmetic surgery. The endoscope is a thin device with a camera and light mounted on it that allows our surgeons to perform complex procedures through tiny incisions, without sacrificing detail. The endoscope greatly reduces post-operative scarring. An endoscopic browlift at our New York practice performed with this advanced tool requires only a few small incisions that can easily be concealed within the hair. Improvements are made beneath the skin and to the deep muscles, resulting in a more youthful and alert appearance.

The CSANY Difference

There are many types of forehead surgeries performed today. The experienced New York browlift surgeons at Cosmetic Surgery Associates of New York will help you determine which approach will be most beneficial to you. Further, we will address your concerns and devise a surgical plan that is unique to your needs.

Procedure Overview

The traditional brow lift involves an incision behind the hairline above the ear and passes over the top of the head. In some cases, the incision may be placed in front of your hairline. The skin will be lifted to a more youthful position, and any underlying muscles may be modified. Generally, the procedure takes about 1 to 2 hours to perform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can brow surgery correct asymmetry?

Brow surgery may help to correct asymmetry between the brows. While this procedure can sometimes correct unevenness, sometimes the asymmetry may be attributed to other factors such as having asymmetric eyelids. It is important to figure out what exactly is causing any unevenness before deciding on brow surgery to correct it.

Can brow surgery be combined with other facial procedures?

Brow surgery can be combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures including a face lift or eyelid surgery. By combing these procedures, you can experience dramatic results that leave you looking refreshed. Many people prefer to combine procedures because it reduces recovery time and requires only a single recovery period.

When can I return to work?

While your brow lift surgeon will give you specific post-operative instructions, it can be expected that you will need to take a couple of days after your procedure to rest and recover. Assuming your job is not one that involves any strenuous activity, you should be able to return to work within a week of your brow surgery.
