Procedure Overview
A BOTOX treatment in New York performed at Cosmetic Surgery Associates of New York works by relaxing the muscles in the face, in turn reducing wrinkles. The naturally occurring protein within BOTOX temporarily relaxes the muscle structure that causes wrinkles to form. The result is the reduction or elimination of wrinkles in the treated area.
BOTOX can alleviate wrinkles with little or no discomfort, and the entire procedure can often be performed over a lunch break. Most of our Westchester patients report noticing the effects of BOTOX® within 48 to 72 hours of treatment. The results tend to last about 4 months, but this often depends on the patient's skin type and the areas being treated. Periodic re-treatments can prolong the benefits of BOTOX indefinitely.

Are the results of BOTOX permanent?
BOTOX works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles that contribute to fine lines and wrinkles. It is not permanent. It is recommended that women and men repeat treatment about every 4 months for optimal results. It is possible that over a period of time of regular BOTOX treatments, wrinkles and lines will gradually improve, allowing for more time between treatments.
In what areas of the face can BOTOX be administered?
